If you want the full experience of a retreat, eating delicious, nourishing, and healthy food is part of it. Since we are apart, I’m sharing some of my favorite simple and delicious recipes.
Breakfast in Ayurveda (India’s medical science) is typically warm and calming, designed to slowly awaken digestion.
Free Time or Self Study
Take this free time to read, nap, journal, go for a walk or hike. Or choose one of these self study options:
~ Listen to a guided walking meditation to help you connect to the Earth on your walk.
~Take a short intro to meditation course. Learn why we meditate, how it helps, and what it should look like for you.
Guided Visualization & Writing Session
Come together for a visualization, listen to a poem to open the creative brain, and be guided through a writing session to release the old and open to clarity and peace.
Ayurveda Inspired Lunch Recipe
Ayurveda (India’s medical science) inspired foods include foods that are tasty, nutritious, and easy to digest. The end result is a balance in flavor and nutrition.
Lunchtime in Ayurveda is the time of day to eat the heartiest meal because the digestive fire is at it’s peak – meaning the body can handle digesting more complex foods between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
Yin Yoga for the Hips
Yin Yoga is a slow, relaxing, meditative practice that mindfully holds the body in deep stretches for several minutes. Slowly and intentionally unwind your body into full body relaxation.
Breathe to Bliss
Learn a simple yet powerful Qigong breathing technique – the 9 Breath Method – and release patterns, tension, and anything no longer needed until you slip into a peaceful, blissful state.
Ayurveda Inspired Dinner Recipe
In Ayurveda, an evening meal is simple, light, and best consumed at least 2 hours before bed.
Evening Yoga Nidra
